How to build wealth with faith and trust
“I need to talk to you about financial freedom,” Jimmy said, and then he explained how he was feeling discouraged despite his recent momentum. For the first time in his life, the twenty-three-year-old had calculated the math and saw that the numbers just didn’t add up to his future aspirations.
“It was a lot easier to believe in my financial dreams,” Jimmy admitted, “before I used a calculator and a spreadsheet to plot it.”
“Let’s take a walk to discuss it,” said the Wealthy Gardener.
They got up and strolled through the vineyard, stopping once they reached the crest of a hill. There was a panoramic view of the neighboring farm. The corn stretched as far as the eye could see.
“It’s an impressive fall harvest,” said the Wealthy Gardener, “wouldn’t you say?”
“I would agree,” said Jimmy.
“Indeed it’s a miracle when you consider that none of it existed just eight months ago,” continued the Wealthy Gardener. “Do you know what the farmer had to do to produce this bountiful harvest?”
Jimmy frowned. “He stayed moving every waking hour?”
“That’s not too far from the truth,” chuckled the Wealthy Gardener, “and it is the effort required on the farm. But that’s only the visible part of the farmer’s achievement. It’s not really the absolute cause of the harvest, is it?”
“I don’t know what you mean.”
“The farmer planted in the spring and worked all summer, but through it all he trusted the seeds to grow. He could only do his own small part, and that meant using each day in the direction of the harvest. Every farmer is an optimist who works with the laws of Nature.”
“I suppose that’s true.”
“You now have a clear idea of what you want in life. Use your days for direction and don’t fret over it. You will see your dreams take root if you do your part and trust prosperity to grow, knowing that plans always spring up from a conditioned mind. With clarity and trust, the seeds of wealth will always grow in the right seasons.”
