The way to wealth is a steady forward direction, which happens to be the way to life satisfaction. – the Wealthy Gardener
A farmer plants in the spring and works all summer, but on many days there seems to be no progress. The farmer knows that he must do his part, and that means using each day in the direction of the harvest.
Choosing our life direction is sometimes the only strategy that makes sense when our goals seem impossible.
Elbert Hubbard said, “Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer the goal.”
Your direction in this life is what matters.
Direction gives you a sense of purpose. Direction fills you with daily satisfaction. And direction leads to new opportunities.
If you now have a clear idea of what you want in life, know that it’s only a matter of time. Use your days for direction and don’t fret over it.
You will see your dreams take root if you do your part and water them with daily attention. Trust prosperity to grow, knowing that plans always spring up from a conditioned mind. This is the law.
The fall harvest unfolds when our thoughts are filled with purpose and faith. Opportunities will arise that you cannot imagine. With clarity and trust, the seeds of wealth will grow in the right seasons.
It’s okay if your life isn’t exactly what you want it to be today. Just choose a direction, stay the course, and trust in the harvest.

A controlled mind is the force that compels the actions, choices, work, and struggles behind every worthy achievement. – the Wealthy Gardener
You’re a winner, not a whiner. You’re capable of changing your conditions, and you will one day have everything you want.
But only if you take responsibility for making it happen.
“The fault, dear Brutus,” wrote Shakespeare, “is not in our stars, but in ourselves.” You are the cause of your success or failure.
Of course, outside events factor into where you are at any given moment. But no mater what, it’s still your responsibility to win.
Other people were born into privilege. It’s still your responsibility to win. Others have connections. It’s still your responsibility to win. Others are more outgoing than you. It’s still your responsibility to win. You were born into poverty. It’s still your responsibility to win.
You’ll always be trapped until you stop making excuses.
When you blame outside events for your conditions, you lose the ability to change. Excuses imprison your potential within you. Full accountability frees your potential to create the life of your dreams.
Sophocles told us, “It is a painful thing to look at your own trouble and know that you yourself, and no one else, has made it,”
You can face your conditions and change them.
Taking ownership of your life is hard, but you’re strong enough to do it. And because you can accept responsibility to make it happen, you will win your dreams. Make it your responsibility to win.

Our reasoning and intuition make a powerful team. – the Wealthy Gardener
Our reasoning ability and intuition make a powerful team. It is best to get them in agreement, but there will be times when intuition can sense things that reason can’t grasp.
When our thoughts are on what we want most, an emotional guidance system forewarns us of impending dangers and, conversely, pulls us like a gravitational force into opportunities.
Oprah Winfrey said, “Feelings are really your GPS system for life. When you’re supposed to do something, or not supposed to do something, your emotional guidance system lets you know.”
I have learned to rely on an intuitive sense, along with reasoned calculation, to arrive at accurate decisions. In my broad life directions, I have learned to view satisfaction as a green light that signals GO.
And I have come to see the feeling of dread or melancholy as a red light that signals STOP. Satisfaction or dread has guided the direction of my life.
In stillness when the mind is focused on what we want most, we can sense when a direction is right, and when it is wrong. And that is exactly the essence of following our emotional guidance system.
The challenge for me is that it leads into the unknown. We don’t always get to see the end destination when we choose our direction. Sometimes a persistent feeling is all we will have to guide the way.
