Working on Success Habits

“Intentional living gets easier over time.” – the Wealthy Gardener

LIFE LESSON 4-55 REMINDER

You were born to prosper in life. You have dreams, goals, and a deep need for self-actualization. You’re compelled to fulfill an inner potential, and your potential can only be expressed through intentional thoughts and actions.

Intentional living may seem hard initially, but it gets easier over time. The longer you do the right things, the more these right things become your habitual patterns.

It’s not that your habits lead to effortless achievement, but that your most repeated activities—over time—will become almost involuntary.

Habits will compel you, and eventually control you.

“All bad habits start slowly and gradually,” said Zig Ziglar, “and before you know you have the habit, the habit has you.”

It’s always been true for me.

It seems I’d get into daily exercise, and then fall out of daily exercise. I’d get into morning goal reviews, affirmations and visualizations, and then I’d fall out of these rituals. I’d go on long walks to think, and then I’d simply stop. I’d track my impact hours every day, and then I’d stop tracking my use of time.

You can have the life of your dreams, but it won’t fall from the sky and land in your back yard. You can have the life of your dreams because you can choose your habits. You can choose the habits that lead to a prosperous life.

All bad habits may start slowly and gradually, but so, too, do good habits. No matter where you are in life, or what you want out of life, you can build the habits that bridge the gap. You can build any habit with repetitive daily actions.
