A controlled mind is the force that compels the actions, choices, work, and struggles behind every worthy achievement. – the Wealthy Gardener
You’re a winner, not a whiner. You’re capable of changing your conditions, and you will one day have everything you want.
But only if you take responsibility for making it happen.
“The fault, dear Brutus,” wrote Shakespeare, “is not in our stars, but in ourselves.” You are the cause of your success or failure.
Of course, outside events factor into where you are at any given moment. But no mater what, it’s still your responsibility to win.
Other people were born into privilege. It’s still your responsibility to win. Others have connections. It’s still your responsibility to win. Others are more outgoing than you. It’s still your responsibility to win. You were born into poverty. It’s still your responsibility to win.
You’ll always be trapped until you stop making excuses.
When you blame outside events for your conditions, you lose the ability to change. Excuses imprison your potential within you. Full accountability frees your potential to create the life of your dreams.
Sophocles told us, “It is a painful thing to look at your own trouble and know that you yourself, and no one else, has made it,”
You can face your conditions and change them.
Taking ownership of your life is hard, but you’re strong enough to do it. And because you can accept responsibility to make it happen, you will win your dreams. Make it your responsibility to win.
